I listed a milk fitting the thread title a little while ago and have had three people ask for me to end the auction for them or do a buy it now. I couldn't find any info on the bottle online. Anyone know why all the hub-bub bub? NC collector's maybe? Hope it does well.

Bump.

Anybody? Apparently this is a super scarce NC milk. Tons of watchers but only two bids. Dissapointing so far.

The real bidding never starts until the last hour of the auction I've found out. Can't say I've ever seen one but I only really concentrate on bottles east of I95 in NC. Most somewhat common embossed quart milks around here usually sell for $25-$35. If its truly a scarce one you should see a lot more than that. Especially if it is from an extremely small town and didn't stay in business very long.

Good luck!

Thanks ncbred. The closest thing to info I could find was that there was a family run Ferguson's dairy about an hour away from where this bottle came from but nothing solid. I have even asked some of the biggest milk collectors in NC with not much luck. But I have gained some confidence in what it should fetch. Others agree with you about that last golden hour.

BTW have you ever heard of a HP&T milk bottle? It's a 5c deposit with a big 5 embossed on the bottom. I suspect it is from eastern NC. Can't find much on it though. There is one on ebay but not much info listed there. My wife bought it for me for father's day.

Thanks!! I know. I wasn't expecting anything like that. I had a guy tell me it could go at 500 and that would have been awesome to me.

I'll keep searching on that other bottle.

HP & T is High Point & Thomasville. It's a fairly common deposit bottle. Hope this helps.
