Im new to the game of digging, and i picked out my first spot where i think i should start searching. Any information on any of the finds, any comments, advice, and what have you is a big help to me. Every day is a new learning experience. Im not sure which stuff is junk yet or which stuff is a good find, so let me know what you think =]

Looks like you are digging 20s and 30s stuff. The Jumbo peanut butter jar is not a bad find I see you found several small items are you digging in a dump area?

hey Cody,

This is a real nice piece, of which I'd like to see better photos:

These, I'd put back:

I'm assuming you're digging a dump, and have not yet gone too deep. Keep that stuff, except for the battery cores, and keep digging...

It looks to be a dump area due to the large amount of items laying around. i havent gone deep at all, this is all just at the surface or six inches down. gonna take my time and see what goodies are soon to come. more photos when i get the time, cleaning them now =]

that's a suspension insulator, probably from the 1930's-40's if you ask me. Couldn't tell you who made it though, but i can give you a wild guess and say it's a later victor/locke or something of that sort.

Thanks for the info! i didnt expect it to be that old, i found that one on the surface quite a distance away from the site. i figured it to be around 70's-80's.

I think you are spot on Bryan. i noticed a stamp while cleaning it that says "Locke 2-41" would the 41 indicate the year?
