Fire Grenade found at an estate sale!

Paid $10 for it. So the story goes, this belonged to a family who lived in a local house since the late 1940s. They kept this on the mantle next to a bottle of holy water (the holy water bottle was not embossed or marked). Although the house is 1940s, this grenade dates back to the 1870s-1880s. It has been refilled for some reason, but the iron cork is on as tight as possible.
