It is from a Northeast glasshouse... that much is sure. The jury is still out whether it is NY or NH.

Although it is pictured in books that contain NH collections, I had always felt it was from NY, until recently. I purchased a 16-sided inkwell (which I had always believed to be from Stoddard) and it was embossed with a "4X4" on the base. The Gibbs has the exact same base embossing. So... NY or NH?

Don't really matter I guess... still a cool bottle!

Does anyone know where the medicine itself was marketed out of?

Its amazing there is so little info on a well know medicine.
It was apparently advertized in Hartford Conn. I still havent dug up one of the ads.
1840s-1850s
I cant access the online Conn newspaper archives because i'm not a resident.
