Giant Ceramic/Porcelain Insulators

Was in the Allegany Mnts in western New York camping and found these big ones at a local antique store. Only 10$ each. Looks like 2004? and 1985? Don't know a whole lot about them but will look good hanging on my Insulator tree. They weigh about 10 to 15 pounds each!

Love the insulator tree--complete with maple sap tap faucet! Did those single peg insulator holders come from NY state? Congrats on a great piece of Americana.

Those are suspension discs. If you walk transmission lines, you'll often find strings of these discarded below. There are some rare and sought after designs but in general most aren't really worth lugging back.
