A 50 gallon barrel full of crucibles... Man that must have been an incredible rush!

The guns are the definition of sweetness. Great work stabilizing them!

The scribe's case confuses me; how was the ink reservoir kept watertight (or "inktight")? It is a superb find but I really don't get it? Doesn't seem like it would rest flat as-is? Were there perishable components that aren't present now? What am I not understanding? Sorry for all the questions, hehe.

Plumbata........The scribe's case really does sit pretty flat...low center of gravity. The brass lid flips open to allow acess to the quill pen & closes very tight to contain the ink..It did not appear to have any kind of gasket. There was ink residue inside....When I opened the small ink reservoir the seal between the lid & body was extremely well matched....metal on metal. I like it a bunch![:)]
