Great finds from a dig this past summer.

My buddy and I found a nice, but small pit-style farm dump this summer which produced some great stuff for us both on the two trips we took there. I got some pretty rare ones too. I also had another rock wall find!!!

Here are the finds, I apologize for any photo blurriness.


DAY 1 FINDS (Short after work dig):


A crier glass ointment pot that is so incredibly rare, I had to take the broken half. Smith's Ointment / W.B. Smith / New London, Conn.

A nice BIM dug bucket lister for me. Dr. Thompson's / Eye Water / New London, Ct.

An unbleviable unlisted druggist bottle. John E. Griffin / Registered Pharmacist / Taftville, Conn.

A killer amber druggist that I wish was embossed.

DAY 2 FINDS (w/ digging buddy):
From left to right: Mason Fruit Jar, Strapside Warrented Flask, Mellin's Food, Guaranteed Full Pint flask, and some Misc. BIM Blanks

From left to right:
2 sizes of N.D. Sevin & Son / 118 Main St. / Norwich, Conn., Early looking Sewing Machine Oil, Early looking paneled med, Lee & Osgood / (Shield and Crest) / Norwich / Conn., and another unlisted Griffin in a larger size!!!

Now for the sodas and beers:
From left to right:
Rock Water Soda Co. / A.L.B. / Taftville, Conn., Art deco Uncas Bottling Wks. Norwich, Conn., Sheared top J.A. Wuttkey / Norwich / Conn. blob (ugh, so close), Washington Beverages / Norwich, Conn., and a nice 1920s embossed Orange Crush.

And finally an extremely rare BIM lady's leg crown top from a small mill village. H.A. Gaucher / Baltic, Conn.

And almost forgot this nice earlier Duggan's Pharmacy / (J over D monogram) / 50 Main st. / Norwich, Conn.

My digging buddy got some killer stuff too, including this awesome early and crude Whitall's Patent / June 18th, 1861 or Millville Atmospheric Fruit Jar!

Then we explored an abandoned house where I found this sticking out of the rock foundation wall in the basement!!! Lanman / & / Sevin / Druggists / (L & S monogram) / Norwich / Conn.

Gotta love the monogram druggists. I love druggists and they are what I mainly collect locally. I got a lot of em from these digs, some I needed or had never seen too. The amber would've been killer embossed, but it is still going in my collection.

No CT druggist book, but lifetime area collectors have never seen it even while digging in area and it has never been put on ebay. Unlisted is as according to me unless proven listed or seen somewhere otherwise. I am putting together a list of CT druggists.
