A much newer pot from Oakland I picked up years ago.

What does the stenciling on the pot say in the back row on the right side?

The pot is by V. Chevallier San Francisco and is the example pictured in Sonny Jackon's book ref:- BJ 212.

Here is one of my two B.B. Thayer pots, the most recent acquisition I believe.

Are these yours? From the deantiques website. Lower right hand corner Wakelee has to be really rare. Along with most of the others...[:-]

Potlids are a very impressive work of art. I don't have any but am really tempted to start. That A.M. Cole you have pictured would be a nice first one, but afraid it's out of my price range. I have about 15 A.M. Cole bottles. Thanks for posting....Ron

Yes

Gidday,
Would you be so kind as to post some close ups of the pots/lids in the group picture? The upper left, the Wakelee's lower right and any others you'd like to share. Are those from the Embarcadero 1 - 4 construction digs? Seems those projects uncovered a large amount of vintage 1850s - 1860s SF bottles and pots/lids. I know my first BB Thayer pot (should they be called "jars"?) came from the Embarcadero.

The pots are the examples used in Mr Jacksons book. Im not sure where they would have come from. The others took the best part of 10 years to piece together. A very tuff series to find without damage and some of America's best multi coloured.
