Hand-Blown??

[8|]One of 2 smililar bottles my father collected in 1969 on the Las Cruces Trail, Panama Canal Zone. Clear, no seams, with bubbles and a dip-mold(?) bottom where you can see the blow rod (correct terminology??) appears to have been broken off. When I tap my finger nails on the glass there is a different tone to the sound of the glass, like it is thinner than usual!! The bottle does sit angled as shown in the picture.

It appears to be a free blown bottle (not blown in a mold). There would be no seams. They are typically very thin glass and slightly asymetrical shaped.
The lip looks like its sheared and fire polished, but its a little hard to tell from photos.

Nice bottle. I agree with G.H. Pre 1885. out of my current range of experience. Someone will tell you more i'm sure.
