BUNKER HILL BREWERIES Established 1821, CHARLESTOWN, MASS. I'd say 1905-15, the PB was to advertise their PB Ale, which stood for Purest and Best. I'd be interested in it because I like the ribs, let me know what you want for it Bob....

Well. I finally got to this one. I enjoyed all six pages of your postings. I remembered the one about wanting a lid for a small canning jar - because I needed one at the same time I saw your post. I also saw your post about the Owens shear ring on their jar bottom. They employed a vacuum loading of the parison glass on the OWENS Machine and after the glass was lifted a shear blade cut off the lift and the released glass slumped back into the forehearth lift chamber. You have sure found a lot of different bottles. Back to your Van Norstand bottle - that had to be a hand tooled crown finish. I have four or five different beers with the hand tooled crown finish. I have to ask how high the ribs are. Neat bottle anyway. Great hobby! RED Matthews
