I found this bottle earlier in the week along an old railroad trail in the central part of SC. Overall close to 10" in height, about 5" at widest point near top. I've cleaned and can't find any markings/embossing on top or bottom. Only a slight evidence of seam that ends near lower part of neck, has lots of bubbles and imperfections in glass. However the bottom looks to be a type of wine bottle but not sure on that either. Any ideas on this bottle, I was thinking a flask?

I would also say around 1870, looks like it has a small kick-up base and tooled lip in an olive green color...

The kick up is just the bottom post of the mold, generally used from around mid 1860 and into the early 1900's in some form. The lip looks on the earlier side of that. That's my opinion.
