How do you find good older dumps and other places to dig?

I was wondering if anyone with more experience in digging could give me (and others) some pointers on locating dumps and other digging sites. Maybe even some pictures of where you dig. I'm not wanting you to give away your spot or anything just trying to see what a good dump looks like and how to locate them. Another maybe how did you find your favorite place to dig? Thanks
