I am interested in learning how to find bottles in my area

I live close to Fort Wayne and know it is area rich in bottles just how do I go about finding them? I am interested in Privy,River & dumps I know they are out there but its a matter of getting to them I ask around but nobody really seams interested or are out of it by now.I appreciate any advice and help.

easy way is to go to the old part of town find a small creek , park and start walking up or down it . when ya start to find shards watch the walls and feeder creeks that lead into it . hope it helps . sam

maybe there is a bottle club somewhere in your area. if you are persistent, i'm sure you'll come across what you're looking for.

Every town had old dumps. Go to the court house or library and look at old maps or information on drug stores and bottling works. That should give you a good starting point. Remember, history is the best reference for digging. Do your research and you can find about anything.
