I need help indentifying an unusual bottle....Thanks!

From a museum collection....It measures 4 3/8" tall including the stopper....I don't see any mold lines

A true cosmic bottle; it must have been for a very special and costly preparation.

I've had some ladies perfume / scent bottles over the years that were about that size with the ground stopper. Art glass perfume bottles had to cost more to make than the contents. Some are gorgeous. Maybe that's what it is.???

Possibly....I believe the glass is black and the sparkles apear to be over the black glass

Never seen anything quite like that - that's actually glitter rather than bubbles in the glass? It doesn't look like the glitter was applied to the outside although it's possible there's some sort of lacquer applied to the outside. Does the surface feel like glass?

Looks like a perfume or smelling salts bottle.

It does feel like glass....I am not sure what the process was to get this effect....I appreciate all the feedback!

The black glass alone would indicate a poison, or other container of a dangerous content. But, the sparkles may negate all of this! This may be a true mystery. --Michael Elling, Sharon, Tennessee
