Went out today for another hike to search out old bottles. Found an assortment of neat things including some old bottles. Started with what looks like a mill stone that was discarded as it was broken in two....cool find! Found two deer sheds...always cool...and on the way out finally found an old mini dump. Had old stuff and pretty old stuff...a mixture. About half the finds were hand tooled....good sign. Highlights (for me at least....complete greener!) include .....

a "Phillips Bros. Champion Bottling Works"...Baltimore, MD USA 8oz

a blue "Rumford" bottle

a "Marschings French Gold Paint" bottle

a Horton-Cato mfg. co. Royal Mayonnaise Detroit, Mich.

a Williams Bros. Co. Food Products Detroit

Royal Roqueford Cheese milk glass

old tooled Listerine bottle and my oldest Milk of Magnesia.....and a glass bead!

Cool finds...about half are hand tooled a good sign for a newbie like me! Will give it a more complete look when I get a chance.

Yes two boxers and 8oz smaller size for a typical Baltimore beer...at least the ones I have found.

That champion bottle is interesting. Is that boxers on it?

The Phillips Bros is actually a soda. I have dug quite a few of them. The company also sold beer in larger, 12 oz. size bottles; typically amber. A common bottle, but still pretty cool with the two boxers embossed. Have you come accross any MD milks yet?

Cool thanks for info....just started this a little over a month ago so still learning. As far as milks i have found half a dozen or so. 3 or 4 from Chestnut Farms dairy in D.C. in different sizes, a new one from Wakefield Bros. dairy in D.C. and a Green Meadows dairy in Fairfax.
