I took a couple of buddies from work (bud and wayne) to a bottle dump I found in mass. In return they were going to show me some spots they found on a hunting trip. The snow started to fall and that was it. I'm new at looking for bottle dumps on land ( find my bottles diving) so I'm sort of desperate. Let me know if you see these desperados. hope I wasn't fooled. dave

Hope it works out for you! Not to discourage you but I made that mistake once before...
I think we all have made that mistake atleast once.. I will never again cause some people are dump jackers... then your stuck with nothing but a mess to clean when you go back to dig some bottles...

Learned my lesson the hard way also. Had a guy at work who constantly begged me to show him a place to dig. He just wanted a place to dig a few bottles . I gave him a location of one of the soda dumps that I dig. I came back to dig and the place looked like it had been bombed. It took a while to find where I left off digging. Took weeks to get the place straightened out. Found out later that he had took an old time digger with him. They dug shallow, they threw dirt on undug areas, littered the area with soda and water bottles and snack wrappers, and never filled anything in.[]

LOL! I don't mind showing friends where I go bottle hunting, as long as I get something in return. Here's a shot of a great bottle site. Water temp is about 39 degrees F.

I did that once and it worked out very well for all of us. I was laid off from work that fall and winter, and I met 2 guys who were looking for a town dump that I knew about, which I took them to. In return they took me to an old city dump.
Here is the dump I took them to.

Here`s the hole I had going in the one they showed me. It`s 13 feet to the bottom with a nice clay base so you know it when you reach it.

Here`s a moss green Old Sachem Bitters barrel that I found there. I think that the dump swap worked out very well for me!

Another picture of it. It was in the wall to the left of the first picture of this dump. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, but this was before digital cameras, so I had to photograph the 35 mm photos with my new camera.
