Ink or generic bottle?

This had black what looked like ink in it, and a cork top dauber. The seams run through the lip, embossed on the neck is "2 1/2 oz", and embossed on the base is"721" and "2". Any thuoghts on age?

Aaaah, I never even thought shoe polish, makes sence. And the cork top is only original since the dig. It does look very modern, but you never know. That's why I here! You can never learn enough about what your collecting (or what not to collect). Thank you cowseat.

I'd agree with shoe polish and date it to the 1920s-30s..

Yes, cowseat [:D][:D][:D] is correct, it is a shoe polish made in the 1930 - 1960 era. Worth nothing to a collector unfortunately. I used to polish my shoes, when I still polished my shoes, with such a liquid shoe polish. Keep looking though.

Thank you cyber & botlguy, I wasn't thinking that old. I guess it would have had a paper label? Anyone out there have a photo with a label, I'd like to see it. Thanks again guys.
