I would call it a barrel ink. From my newly bestowed ink links, the ones that are posted there are French. They may have English barrel inks as well. Someone just posted their inks not too long ago. He had many barrel inks among others.
the color looks wrong and the lip doesnt look like a victorian burst lip.
I'm thinking repro... not my collecting area though so I could be wrong.
The photos dont help much , they are poor.
I'd be guessing a newer perfume with the lip being finished like it is .Some of those shoe' on the ink sight look like perfumes to me too.But agian who am I and its just a guess .

You all are missing a critical link. Ladies in the Victorian era used perfumed ink. And some of those bottles and wells were quite elaborate. I guess they wrote love letters and things of that ilk with perfumed ink. I've seen some American labels that specify perfumed ink, so I don't doubt the stories about the use of perfumed ink.
These fancy barrels are all English or European. Not an area that I collect in. I'd think someone form England might be able to help us out somewhat here. That looks like a nice bottle to me. I'm not aware of reproductions, but again, European stuff is not my thing.
