I bought a Drakes plantation bitters bottle off of ebay. I was wondering if Wheaton ever made a reproduction of the Drakes Plantation bitters.

I have never heard of a Drakes repro. Certainly not a Wheaton. However, I am not a collector of Drakes, or bitters in general. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable in this field will come along shortly. Kelley

Well Jordan, if you got a Drakes for $13.00, congratulations! That is money well spent. [:D] Show us a pic when you can!

Brian Schultz (Tennesee Hillbilly) is the most knowledgeable man I know on Drakes. If he reads this, great. If not, you might want to PM Him. Kelley

If you won a Drakes off of Ebay for 13 bucks and its real, I Salute You!! But its kind of far out because people know what drakes go for, well most bottle collectors any way, it sure looks real from your pic, I have one but I don't collect drakes so I cant say 100%, you need to ask someone who knows what to look for. There is a small crack in the back but I thought for 13 bucks it was still a great deal.

Its funny, with ceramics a chip or a crack or even a missing piece often doesnt affect value much at all.
With bottles any damage can make a huge difference in value.

Nice Drake's !
There was never a repro produced of the Drake's Plantations. There were a few copy cat molds that looked very similar to a Drake's mold . But they are vintage also .
Even with the crack ...... It is still a nice window bottle . And you can't beat the price . Sure beats the 100.00 + for a mint 6 logger in Amber .
