It`s embossed NEW HAVEN CT on one panel on the other it`s hard to read part of it as a couple of letters look double stamped theres 2 little bumps on 2 of the letters in the mold. What I can read is THE C. LARK Co all letters are uneven a bit and look almost as hand printed. The blank spot is what can`t be read. Maybe CLARK Co don`t know. The seams are rough and could possibly cut. The color is ia light aqua green.
Any help as to the type and company and possible age of the bottle is appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Mike,
At first I thought it might have been a Larkin soap or perfume bottle, but they were out of Buffalo N.Y.,although I`m not sure if they had other outlets. It may be a med or something else entirely.

I can`t help you much, but the bumps on the letters are vent holes that allow the glass to be blown into the mold letters.Sometime they get plugged enough to not allow the letters on the bottle to be completely formed. One fellow on this forum thought he may have had a Braille bottle because the bumps were about the only indication of lettering.

It would help if you could describe the seam.Does it continue through the lip,or stop before the lip?How tall is your bottle? What does the base look like? Are there any makers marks or glassworks marks on the base?Mold lines sometimes can help determine age.An extra picture or two sometimes can make a difference in describing what you have.Sorry I wasn`t much help.I`m new to this and have a hard time researching anything.Good luck.I hope you can learn more from this most excellent forum. If I can find anything out,I`ll be back to report my finds.

Sorry, all I keep getting is references to Clark and they are usually people or current businesses.I think New haven was established in 1634 by one of the sites I saw so they should have produced some killer bottles.Keep diggin bottles and info.and I hope you find out about your bottle.Good luck.[;)]

I find listngs as early as 1865 for them. They were listed in New Haven as Manufacturers of Proprietary Medicines as of 1897 located on 551 State St.

Thank you Wangan,
The seam is bumpy almost sharp, and they end below the lip but about 1/2" from the end of the seam it veers off to the left, not a straight seam near the top. No marks on the bottom except 2 air bubbles in the glass.

Road Dog found the company see below posts.
