Check out this really great unopened jar of Lee’s absorbent gauze. The company opened in the late 1800s so I assume it’s from early 1900s or so. Has anyone seen or have info on this little gem?
Thanks, Brian

I dug one these bottes here in Maine back in the 1970's, still contained gauze, cover and bale. No label but still saved it for amber color. Still packed away in some of my boxes of bottles packed away years ago. Figured it was medical related anyway. Thanks for the information.

That’s correct, quick search showed the company manufactured surgical goods/supplies from 1883-1910 when they sold to Johnson & Johnson. Not a long time so maybe fairly rare, who knows. Cool item nonetheless.

That's a great label on that one! Not a company I've ever heard of, and I bet there aren't many (if any) more of those labels out there.
Agreed, I saw the cardboard box it would have come in on an auction site but don’t know what it went for, had to pay to see lol.

Sweet. I noticed a little amber swirl mold bottle from the same company on ebay this morning. Base embossed.
