Fresh from an 1860s hotel privy. Does anyone know rarity/value ? The diameter is about 3".

This particular image was used a few times by Hauel. Two different sizes, over glaze and under, and with wording variations. Your's says "wholesale" at 9 oclock. The other is "the highest premium awarded". Not a common Haule but there appears to be 6 different. From memory JHs bought $600, BBR a year or two back moved one for half that. A nice find Andrew.

A very nice pot lid and as Greg has mentioned not one of the more common Jules Hauel lids. Is this one under or over glaze.
