Hey guys, just thought I would show off my first attempt at an aquarium. I have been reading on them and got my first "easy fish" picked out. To start I got 6 platies, 13 zebra danios, 6 serpae tetras. Next Im getting 6 lemon tetras and 6 cory cats. Then Im done for a while. Anyone else got some aquariums?

That's neat. I'd like to have one. I always had them as a kid. They were always freshwater. I understand the saltwater can get even more complicated. I thought about doing one with seahorses and starfish. Wouldn't that be cool? But, I think seahorses can get sick easily.

Watching fish is supposed to relax you and lower your blood pressure. I'd love to see some more pics. Good luck with your aquarium.

Take the coral out, fresh water fish don't know how to swim around it, and it will cut them. I assume you are letting the aquarium cycle? Good luck with it.

The cory catfish are my favorite - there are a lot of different ones that you can get. Introduce new fish slowly and don't put too many fish in, or you'll have trouble keeping the right balance with your nitrogen cycle. Your filter is important but not overfeeding and not overfilling the tank are equally important.

Good luck!
