Larmour B.C bottle???

Hi All,

New to the forum and my first post...

I bought this bottle from a digger in Ontario Canada many years ago. It is a small round-botom aqua soda embossed "Larmour B.C" (see picture).

Being from British Columbia Canada, I bought it as it was embossed with B.C but was pretty sure it was not from British Columbia (or Canada for that matter) as I had never seen it before or even heard of anywhere or anyone called Larmour.

Over the years I have never been able to find anything out about the bottle.

Does anyone have any information on this bottle? Any idea where it might be from??

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hey Eric14, that is a nice looking bottle. Since the bottle came from an Ontario digger, I would guess that B.C is referring to Battle Creek, Michigan. The Ontario border is only 200 klicks due east at Detroit/Windsor.

Hmmm...good point, I hadn't thought of that. Know any collectors in Battle Creek I can check with

I'd have to go with British Columbia. In the states you'll find City, City and State or occasionally State only. I've never heard of a city/town abbreviation only. I have seen Canadian state only abbreviations. IMHO

That bottle looks Canadian to me, could be Quebec, there are often less researched bottles from there. I have seen lots of round bottoms from here in ontario and there.

That bottle DOES look like Ontario glass, I will admit that. I do not believe it is from Ontario though, Quebec is a possibilty though. I have a stronger feeling it is from BC though.... possibly the bottle was just made in Ontario.

That IS a Battle Creek druggist bottle.
I would be very willing to buy it or trade you a decent Canadian jug for it.
