Nice flask I know you didn't pay 600 at a yard sale :) So what did it set you back? Its a yard sale any price is a good price :)

That is a nice looking flak, but I gotta reask what Hemihampton did. Are you sure it's not a reproduction ? The embossing looks like a Czech mold copy and the bottom looks brand new. It doesn't have any wear on it. I'm just asking, really hoping it is real.

I see lots of old looking flask at Antique stores in brite blue cobalt, orange, yellow, green, all kinds of cool colors, with prices like $10-$20. They can't be real for only 10 or 20 bucks, right? LEON.

In 1960 they made replicas of the civil war flasks, if you were talking about those.

Maybe that's what is was thinking of the clevenger repros, but didn't a czech glass house also remake the historical flasks ?

the originals don't look that wavy . I believe it was made to look older then in really is. just my opinion .

definitely real, at least to these 18 year old eyes it is. I have an iron pontiled scroll flask that has the same "orange peel" texture like this one. And I know mine is real because I saw in-situ pics of when it was dug. Just my 2 cents.

They make repos so well these days ,it's hard to tell with out any provenance .
