Hello everyone. I'm new to the group and would like to show a few locals from an old time lot I just acquired, but my images are too big to download. Some great A. S. Wetherells from Exeter and a bunch from Newmarket and Dover that are getting exceedingly harder to aquire. I'll continue to troubleshoot and see if l can successfully figure out out.

Alas, I have applied all of my technical knowledge and I'm unable to post pictures. It says that the files are too large to upload. What a bummer. Not sure if it's because I'm downloading them from my phone or what.

I am assuming you are using your smartphone to take pictures.
Start the camera on the phone and click on one of the images that you are trying to send. That will open the image in the camera so you can look at it.
There will be some settings in that preview (on my camera it is at the bottom) where you can send, share, delete and edit the photo. On my camera the edit looks like a pencil. Touch that and open the photo to edit.
You can RESIZE your photos here. What that looks like is dependent on the type of camera/phone. If it is like my phone there are 3 dots (...) that open more editing options when you touch it. One of the options is for RESIZE. You'll need to RESIZE the photo to make it smaller and save the new image.
This will make it small enough and then you can post it.
