I am hoping that this community can help me in what I am fearing is an impossible task.
I am very eager to locate any glass bottles from the Genoa Dairy from Genoa, Illinois. Are you aware of any collectors with any in their collection that would be willing to sell?
My grandfather delivered for Genoa Dairy in the 1930s and collected milk bottles after he retired, but in his later years he sold off his collection. He passed away several years ago, and my father has been searching for years for Genoa Dairy milk bottles. I would love to find one and surprise my dad with a bottle that reminds him of his father (my grandfather).
I'm looking to make any contacts with Illinois or midwestern collectors who may know of some for sale. Unfortunately, I've had 0 luck in finding anyone that could help. The few references I've found to Genoa Dairy online have not resulted in any returned emails or leads.
I'm about to give up. Any further ideas from the community?
