I have no clue as to what this is. It's about an inch and a half high. It also has a military symbol. uploadfromtaptalk1450628277593.jpguploadfromtaptalk1450628313001.jpguploadfromtaptalk1450628399034.jpg

I looks like part of a cruet or castor set and an older one, probably 1900 or so, maybe earlier. French or English I'd guess.

So small. The bottom photo is to reference size. Not a very good photo.

My husband owns a construction company. When the job is done the party is over.☺ Everyone knows if they find stuff to pass it on.☺ Once we were building houses for ourselves and it was on a landfill from the turn of the century.

As above but with the addition that it is a TOY cruet bottle. I have dug a handful of them and often found in dumps along with other toy parts, etc. In all my digging I have only dug up two in the same pit, all others were single finds, though they came in sets with the fancy holders like the adult sized ones. Not worth much but still cool finds. Jack

From you photo it looks a bit more like 3 inches. Would that be accurate?

I agree with Cannibalfromhannibal on this one & Cow's input on it being English.

@cowseatmaize what makes you rule out American made here? I's say thats an option too given the date and style no?

The " burst " top, as seen on this little example, is very often, but not always, indicative of English bottles.

Just the look of the pattern really.

True but things like cruets, inks and others that may have had an metal lid cemented on were often unfinished.

It's a tough call.
