i saw a milkglass hobbleskirt on ebay . dont know if it was fake ,fantasy or what it was . never knew they made sodas or beers in milkglass. thank for the look sam
as far as i know they were made in the 20's and 30's. maybe someone has more info. the ones i've seen with a lable were a pineapple flavor and an orange flavor. don't remember the brands.

Milk glass was occasionally, though uncommonly, used for ink, bitters, non-cosmetic medicinals, liquor, and sometimes even fruit and food jars primarily during the late 19th and early 20th century. Milk glass is virtually unknown in the production of soda, mineral water, wine/champagne, and beer bottles. It was rarely used for bottles prior to about 1870, i.e., milk glass bottles/fragments would not commonly be found on historic site's that date totally prior to the 1870s.
There is definitely a milk glass Carling's Black Label beer bottle, from Cleveland, Ohio. I've seen them on ebay and I've been waiting myself for one with a nice label to pop up.
