I Love Bottles! I have a problem though! Can anyone make any suggestions as to how to clean my bottles. I collect them, but normally will just place them in my case because I don't want to damage them.

For dirt and grime i use bb's,fine sand, and ammonia.Fill the bottle about a third of the way full with bbs and sand and put in enough ammonia so that it will all move around good but not too much or it wont clean as good.Shake it good until it is clean. If there is a certain area that the dirt is hard to get off hold the bottle on its side and direct the bbs and sand on that particular spot. Most of your bottles look to be sodas which are pretty hard to break. If the bottle is "sick"(the actual glass is stained) then it would have to be tumbled.[:)]

Thank you! I really appreciate it! The left case I purchased from an individual, but the right case was an instrument case from a doctor out of Florida around the late 1800's - early 1900's.

Man, I wish we woulda got a chance to stop by and see some of these before we moved. Makes my lil collection seem like junk (which it really is, I am somewhat of a junk collector). Yall should really check out that spot up the creek, its about an hour paddle, just past the old train trussle bridge. Cant miss it though, theres a big pile right when u go around the bend. We only went a couple of times, and I swear I saw some great bottles on the bottom, it was just too cold for me to dive. We also didnt scratch the surface, just picked up what we could see.

yeah, as long as you find a way to put your boat in north of the bridge, u cant put it in @ the brinson bridge. Also make sure the water is up a little unless u have a paddle, lol. Its kinda hard to navigate, but not impossible
