My dad found this bottle while bottle hunting under a house in the 70’s. He has tried to get information on it but hasn’t so I figured that someone one here might. He took these pictures and they aren’t very clear but it’s the best that he could do. Any help would be appreciated. It would make his day to have some information on it. Thanks!

On the bottom of the bottom he said that it has Property of Duquoin. Which he thinks may be a town in Illinois. I don’t know if that helps..

Could you post a picture? I can't imagine that it means the bottle was property of the town of Du Quoin. Up here we only get fully-embossed bottles that look like that in big cities, not small towns like Du Quoin, but I don't know if the same applies for Illinois. Regardless I think it would be worth looking for any Midwest Dairies that operated in Chicago or its suburbs. Also you should be able to find a two-digit date code on the heal which will tell you how old it is, looks like 1950s to me.

Also keep in mind that milk bottles didn't usually travel very far, so the most likely location for its origin is the town where your dad found it, or one nearby.

Here’s a better picture of the front. He found it under a house in Mercer, TN.

I just talked to him and he said on the side of the bottom it has UTC51 SEA LEO. And on the very bottom of the bottom it has Midwest DP Company. I don’t know if this helps.

The Midwest Dairy Products Company was based in Duquoin, Illinois. Their bottles are quite common and seem to surface over a wide area.
