Just scored these! My first bottles with labels! And the most purple bottle I have. Owl Drug- 10.75" tall x ~3" wide, has the dried extract in it and on it... Nice big embossed logo on back. The bottle is in real good shape except for a sort of stress crack on the lip (pic), no chunks missing. Even has a string around the neck, maybe the original price tag... I love the label and the look, and I think it'd be too risky to clean the bottle. I couldn't find any examples of Witch-Hazel Owls that looked like this one, that's usually a good thing. Any idea how old it is? William Warner & Co, Philadelphia, St. Louis embossed- Just over 8" tall and ~3" wide, a little chip on the lip and a tiny chip on the shoulder. Also looked into these and couldn't seem to find an example like this one.A few questions:Is this a SCA bottle? What was in it? Kinda cool shape.Any other insight? Atwood's Jaundice bitters- Saw examples of these, once again, stoked to have another labeled bottle. Quite a few on ebay to give me a good idea of the value.

SCA means sun colored amethyst . Manganese was added to the molten glass mixture to make the glass clear. After many decades the manganese causes the glass to turn amethyst color, especially when exposed to the sun.Great bunch of bottles you have there. Labeled examples are always a plus !

Great additions, and I'd leave the Owl just like it is.
