A friend of mine who is a retired flea market dealer / junk man stopped by my shop yesterday whille I was on a dig and dropped these off.

not neccesarily rare, but neat to me.

Those ndnrs are nice but I really like that Drink Up Sparkling Beverages bottle. The orchestra picture is very similar to Cotton Club from Cleveland, OH, one of my favorites. Any chance you would trade that bottle?

thanks - I like that one, too - sorry, but would rather not trade it at present time ( due to it being local and from a friend ), but if I can find another.

I've never heard of the AA beverages mentioned as the bottler, there's other locals I'm familiar with, but not this one. any ideas ?
( ie: was ' drink up ' a chain or franchise, or just local ? )

still hunting them down, so will post what I find :)

green dragon ~

I had to hunt you down via this last thread of yours. Anyway, I came across the following that I thought might be of interest to you. You may already have seen it, but I thought the "Dragon" connection was cool.

SPB

This is the only text associated with the photo. I looked around for one of the "Dragon Beverage" bottles, but didn't find anything. Although there were lots of the "Pep Up" bottles.

“Home of Pep Up†... The Dragon Bottling Company was established as a wholesale beverage manufacturer in 1915. Once located in San Antonio, Texas, it was famous for its Dragon Beverage and a drink called Pep Up, proclaimed as the “largest soda water for a nickel.â€
