I ended one of my listings, the Village farm dairy, toledo ohio b/c of the rarity of the bottles and the reserve wasnt high enough, sry for any inconvience, i am willing to hear any offers. i'll take better pics if needed

hey al, i think we all need a better pix of the embossed village farm bottle, ultra rare embossed with the dacro cap, this bottle had no acl lable any info ??? mike

Hey madman, I found this on google.

"The Crown Cork & Seal Co., manufacturer's of the crown cap which was frequently used as a closure for beer and soda bottles, also adapted their cap for use on milk bottles. By at least 1929, the closure was called the Dacro Sealing System. The seals were used until at least the 1950's and possibly later. The earlier bottles have finishes that resemble a large crown finish, but later ones lack the characteristic bulge below the lip and have a notable embossed ring as the base of the finish to keep the bottle from slipping out of the hand during pouring."

The ACL milk on the left on ebay fetched over $500.00 about an year ago, but that one was mint, this one has some paint wear. but I never even seen an embossed one like on the right, here is an better pic.

p.s. sry i didnt put any more bottles on tuesday, that was the night i ended up winning on a lottery ticket, you'll never guess how much. lol

lol, i had an reserve on it also, i dug the embossed one up and my buddy gave me the painted labled, ty i hope you having a great time, i'll come down to visit as soon as i get transportation, thats what im hoping to do with this bottle. lol we'll see what happens, i am putting the zaneville hutch on ebay soon i have to start bid higher, its not a common bottle either, on that lottery ticket i got an share of 20% heres a pic when i scratched this sucker i flipped out and went bottle shopping lol

whoa, so you won a thousand bucks? Sorry, for my ignorance. I always had a hard time figuring those doggone things out!
