Picked me up a new "jake" yesterday. 1st time I've seen this one. It is embossed: GILLET'S / ESS JAMAICA / GINGER / monogram / GILLET McCULLOCH & CO. / CHICAGO
The monogram is in a shield and it is kind of confusing. I can't make out a G in there at all. There is a W for sure and it looks like a large C and a smaller C

Anyone know anything about this bottle? Sloughduck, are you familiar with it?

Thanks Richard. No, the Boston Red Seal is unfamiliar to me. If anyone knows about it, Sloughduck would. He's been active on the forum so we'll see what he say's.

Chicago?[8D] I saw some "local" jakes at the Vallejo show no wonder they weren't sold...sorry I missed the early lookers on Friday.
Last purchase was this beautiful Oakland citrate from the tables at the end of the building.

Do you have a Bowman citrate? If not, I have one available if you are interested.

Although I prefer "local" or "western" jakes, all the ones I saw at the show I already had. I collect them from all over the U.S. though yet still I rarely come accross a new one.

Nice citrate.

Oldtimer may have been talking about this one though. I was going to send him some cash to pick it up but forgot about it. I have not seen a picture of it because he found it in an antique store. Possibly still there. I dug up this old post:

ORIGINAL: Oldtimer
I found another jake, unembossed extract type, but it has a sweet label with red accents if I recall it right...it's a boston co.
It's in great shape and they want $4.00...you want it?
