I am brand new to privy digging but found a salvage yard with a lot of old cars from the 60's and I am going to get the spring steel out of the trunks

good idea to start out with. I made my first probes out of regular steel, then car springs, now i just buy the from a well known probe maker in california. I live in the bay city/ saginaw area and im willing to show you the ropes if you would be willing to drive over here. I have a good number of privies ready to be dug and if your willing to drive 2 1/2 hours some weekend, i will be happy to help you out.
