Hi, I'm new to the world of bottle collecting. Over the past year, I have aquired many bottles. Unfortunetly, The following I almost don't have any information on. I will try to explain the bottles the best I can to my abilities along with some pictures, but if anyone could tell me the age or an estimated value on any of the following, please do. ~Anthony

1. This is the bottle that started it all. My grandpa found this while scuba diving in a lake in Chicago,IL. It is a beer bottle with the slugplate embossing of Henn & Gabler-Brewery-Chicago. On the back heel of this bottle, There is EHE co and no embossing on the bottom. the seam goes just below the lip. There is also a stress crack in the lip. Help would be greatly appreciated.

2.My next bottle was also found by my grandpa. It has a blob top and a slugplate embossing of H.Quosick-Trade (Picture of anchor) mark- Bloomington, ILL. On the back heel, there is 8--s a b co and on the bottom there is an anchor. There is also a large chip missing out of the back heel of this bottle. Help would be greatley appreciated.

3.The next bottle I bought at a garage sale. I also own a smaller variety of this. The seam does got all the way to the top. It has measurements on the side and a fancy 3iv in the middle. On the bottom there is an o or 0 in a square. Help would, again, be greatly appreciated.

1. Due to where the mold lines stop, it would mean that the bottle was made 1880-1890.
2. Looks old, but I would need to know how far up the mold lines go to know when it was made.
3. Most likely a medicine bottle, made after 1900.
4. Most likely made around the 50s-60s.
5. I don't know much about milk bottles, I only know that it was made after 1900.
6. Looks old, but I would need to know how far up the mold lines go up to know when it was made.

You have some nice bottles. Hope this information was helpful, and happy bottle hunting.[:)]

They're not shabby. I'm not a soda collector so I can't help much.
I can suggest how to link to photobucket though. They will show right up that way rather that the extra clicks.
It's up to you.
Anyway, welcome to the forum.

For 2 and 6, the seam stops before the lip, so im guessing 1880-1890 like the previous ones then. Thanks for the warm welcomes and Ill try to make the pictures work. ~Anthony

Cowseatmaize, my buttons on the reply box look different from those. Theres an H, I, U, hr, quote, link, color, list, image, code, right, and center button. How can I make this work instead of doing the click here to upload and only be allowed one pic at a time? Thanks. ~Anthony

the last bottle i believe to be quite uncommon as well as the one with coffee in it. they are both hutchinson bottles from the late 1800's

The Chicago, bloomington & joliet bottles all date to the 1890's-early 1900's. Value would be best determined by speaking with local collectors. The milk is an early bottle as milks go and probably early 1900's also. As far as molds seams are concerned they are not helpful in dating old bottles, except whether or not they go over the top of the lip, which makes them machine made, post 1906. There are some books out there that misrepresent these facts.

Just kidding.

When I made that I used Firefox 3.6.13. IE 7 gave the same results. I haven't tried Chrome, Opera of anything else.
What browsers are you using. It may also be an OS thing. Are you running Mac, Linux or other. My other computer I think still has a dual boot Win XP and Ubuntu 6. I haven't started that in a while. I'll take a look today.
