I went to a antique store I normally find nothing in (reasonably priced), but today among a bunch of newer crafty/primitive items I came across a nice robin's egg blue cologne (or perfume) for next to nothing to match a slightly larger cobalt one that I purchased along with a collection. Both are pontiled and have ground throats. I'd like to see what the stoppers for these looked like. Probably they were clear glass (?). I have seen the robins egg one sell on ebay but without the enameling. Also, there is not much in the way of info or pictures on these. Any thoughts, comments are appreciated, thanks.

Here's (sort of) what it looks like held to the light. Sort of a smokey, milk-glass look. Interesting glass the way they make it look so opaque and what a strong color, but when held against the light is sort of "multi-colored" like white milk-glass... Thanks for looking

Great find, I've seen them with color matched stoppers in auctions...

Neat, thanks Jim. Are they plain round stoppers?

Thanks Jim I appreciate it, any idea how much they went for? I've never seen the enameled type. Maybe the enameling came off of the ones I've seen as they did look dug.

I believe these were Bay Rum or other barber shop supply. I have a pic of a stopper to a similar one you have, in true robbin egg blue. Sadly the bottle was toast, but the stopper survived fine. Often though they were a simple cork lined zinc shaker top to dispense product in small amounts. I believe the large stopper bottles were for water or some other product needing a quicker/larger dispensing outlet. Jack

Thanks for the ideas Jack, much appreciated. I suppose this guy would have had a similar stopper to that which you posted because of its ground interior. I will pursue the bay rum idea, thanks for that. About how wide is the ground end on that stopper? It looks to be a truer robin's egg blue than the bottle which actually looks a deeper blue now after looking at your stopper.
