Nice age bottle dump found while metal detecting..

Paul and I took off work at 1:30 today to go and probe out this old hotel we got permission to dig, but it didn't pan out.The area is all packed with 2-A mod and its going to take a back hoe to dig off the top layers so the probes can do there job.The owner is going to do it in a few weeks.
The day wasn't a total loss..............

When we got back Paul decided to take out his detector. he was detecting behind a 1830s 40s house. The stuff that was found was less then two feet down.It reminds me of the dump I found in the woods behind my house.I got a few O.p s out of that one.The surface is only scratched here.We are going back Sunday.

We have no Idea how deep this is going to go but if we are finding this stuff up top,it should be interesting.

A can,an old can, but just a can. He put the wand down when he saw the bottles.The glass always takes over.[8D]

With 1880s and 1890s bottles on top, there's no telling what's deeper. Good luck. Sounds like a fun place to dig, not only for bottles but for other neat stuff.

tigue I think its the dump for this old 1830s home.We really didn't dig down yet.I hope its where they dumped from the start. We shall see.
