Meryl and I were at GW one day looking at books. She finds this really sweet looking book. The cover has pretty intricate embossing on it. Published in 1888 (1st impression because she revised it)..still hard to find this copy...
Did some research and found out that it was quite the book in it's day.
Anna Kingsford wrote it. She's pretty interesting..

I was leafing through the book and found a hand written receipt.
It's a purchase order/receipt from Brown Brothers Co., Continental Nurseries in NY.
A business up here in Ishpeming, Mi purchased 875$ worth of stuff... in 1899...COD...
thought it was a sweet little find...
