Old alcohol bottle. Cant find info anywhere. Can someone help identify it?

Went bottle digging and found this old bottle. Been looking for info on eBay/google, and other websites. If someone could shed some light on when it dates back to/what kind of bottle it is it would be most appreciated! All I know is it’s some kind of alcohol bottle.

With out the paper label intact to say what it held it would be hard to say exactly what was in it? Some kind of liquor bottle from 1930's to 1950's. LEON.

Bottles with the specific message yours has date from 1935 - 1964 or so.

"Federal Law Forbids Sale or Reuse of this Bottle" on glass bottles.

My guess would be 1940, the design looks right for that era and that could be a date code on the base. I don't know about the contents though, apart from it being some sort of liquor. Whiskey seems like a decent bet.
