I dug this bottle a few years ago and i don't know the value.I do know there are a few of them this one is vary dark amber it,s 9 1/2 in tall and has S.F.& P.G.W twice on the bottom.
"S.F.& P.G.W……..San Francisco and Pacific Glass Works (1876-c.1901)"From this great site.Doesn't look like it would be such an early tooled-crown to me, though. That's the interesting thing. I myself have dug only one tooled crown intact. They're some of my favorites, though. Almost picked up a real early one, but it wasn't Michigan. LOL. The embossing of it twice is due to the glass sliding in the mold. It can travel quite far, actually.
HERE are some different variants for the San Diego Co. on Bruce's site. I am not sure if yours is the pint or quart size?A pint sized one sold on eBay for $12.50. (Pint size: 9 3/4" Tall). I would say yours would be worth around $15-25, the darker the amber the better.
Nice find, a quite early tooled crown. Please post your other tooled crown finds. I have a whole collection of tooled crown top sodas from the SF Bay Area.
