Hello All,

Can someone please help me with the identifictation of this bottle? I found it while I was out hiking in the McCormick area of SC. It is roughly 6 1/8" tall and just a hair over 2 1/2" wide at the base. It doe not have a screw type top (looks like it would use a cork), the stem of the bottle is slightly crooked, and the opening is not centered on the top of the bottle. It does have a seam running on two sides of the bottle, and the glass appears to be either a smoky or slight purple tint. There are a couple of air bubble imperfections in the bottle, and the base has a concave cirlce on it, roughly 2" wide and 1/8" deep. There are no identifying marks anywhere on the bottle.

I am assuming it is either some sort of ink or perhaps a liquor bottle, however, I thought I'd try to let the experts take a look and maybe give me a second opinon. Thanks for your help!

Way too long a neck for an ink-perfume as diggerboy suggests or perhaps sauce or blacking.
