I know about Owens marks, & how they date a bottle to the first ABM machines etc. but I have a bottle with "Owens" embossed on the bottom, inside a large Owens mark, and now this guy that I know is trying to tell me that some early Owens bottles were embossed this way? Is this true? Never seen one before, if it's true. Are the Owens embossed examples worth anything? It's a screw top 16 oz. square shouldered flask type bottle, flat panel front & rounded rear. Embossed gradations on the front sides in oz's & ml. Embossed 73XVI on top front. Doesn't really look old enough to be an early Owens, but what do I know? I'm hoping there's a board expert who can shed some light on the subject, and correct my ignorance. Thanks...
