hey all you machine made collectors out there,i was driving around toledo and found this, it says owens bottle machine co .in 1903 michael j. owens invented the first automatic bottling machine, which led to the formation of the owens bottle company. these early bottles to the best of my knowledge have an o inside a square on the base, this mark was used from the early 1900s till 1929, when the company merged with the illinois glass co.1873-1929 so then a new mark was introduced combined the 2 marks of the companys with an o over a diamond with an i in the center, this mark was used from 1930 till 1957, after 1957 a new mark was introduced it was an o with an i inside sorry about the confusion i live in toledo ohio the glass city madman
