I got this paperweight recently. Very near mint condition, circa 1910. Shumate's was originally a single pharmacy in San Francisco. They soon began adding branch stores throughout SF. The paperweight lists only 4 locations, but Shumate's was soon up to 7 branches and eventually had over twenty stores in SF during the 1910s. I have two bottles with the "Shumate's Pharmacy Incorporated/Dispensing Chemists" embossing. Shumate's soon changed their embossed bottles to reflect "7 Stores".

Very cool! Those types of advertising pieces seem to be very few and far between.

Very neat! I chase the pharmacy go-withs for New Hampshire pharmacies but they are HARD to find.

I have a few glass paper weights. One for an early O-I plant, And one for the Bi-Centenial - a nice 3 x 6 x 1 Eagle on a ribbon with the dates 1776 and 1976.. Just for the fun of them. RED M.

I come up with them once in a wile but sadly they are rarely in readable condition.
