I noticed on the First picture of the SS Coke bottle It says ROOT on the bottom of it. Any idea what that means?

hey eric,

I'm sorta sensing that you are a young collector.

Dude, you've adopted the screen name Coca Cola, all except for that slippery hyphen. Were you to look into the history of Coca-Cola, you'd see what a long and important relationship Root Glass Co. had with Coca-Cola.

Chapman J Root, this guy,

started the Root Glass Co. in Terra Haute in 1901. Shortly thereafter he started making bottles for Coca-Cola.
Look it up, there's layers and layers of Coke history.

Remember this guy,
Earl_r_dean.jpg
, Earl R, Dean, was the Designer and in charge of the mould room for Root. He's the unsung designer of this guy,

you remember the Contour Bottle.

Switching off Osia mode. [8D]

I hope I've not misjudged your sincerity in asking this question.
