J Andrews Philadelphia, Pa

S. Cummings Philadelphia, PA Has a large smooth defect caused during manufacturing

F McKinney Philadelphia, Pa

Morse's Julep, Scranton in the late 1860's. It is now know as West Scranton. I have found quite a few references in the Scranton paper archives for Morse's Julep. All are from 1868. Found another article from 1958 where miners found one these bottles in an mine with fish oil for the mining lanterns.

I didn't look at the F. McKinney because I have so many of them. I just noticed your is more of a squat with a double collar. Mine are all pony blobs. I find aqua open and closed F variations. Yours has a nicer dark aqua color too.

Would you place the age in the 1870's? Yours are nice too. I like that huge bubble. It gives the bottle lots of character.

Your yes, mine 1890's. Your type is the only one worth any money. Not sure what you paid, none of my business. No shipping at the show plus you get to hold the bottle and really look it over well before you purchase. Can't do that online, and for those reasons alone it is better for everyone involved. No returns! No broken in the mail and most important no lies. I wish I knew you were going, I would have like to meet you and I don't know if others were there. We need name tags, the sellers had them. Maybe a tee shirt with my avatar on the front. ROBBYBOBBY64 on the back, lol!

Your open letter F is more rounded in the corners where my open letter is more square or blocky.

I bought the the McKinney for about $8. It was a group purchase with the Morse's and Andrews bottles.

I go to Shupp's all the time and was at the Forks of the Delaware this year. I like the idea of the name tags or shirts. It would be great to meet other local collectors.

Are there any more shows in the eastern Pa or New Jersey area this year?

$8 not bad at all. I know there had to be more members present. Hard to tell who was who. I go to schupp's too. We should coordinate more next time and do a meet & greet also. Here is the link to the shows.

Each one has it's own personality and character. Attic mint or Benicia covered, both are cool to me.

Thanks for the show list. The Manville NJ one is 1.5 hours from me the NY one is almost 3. I will have to check out the Manville one. Let me know if you are going.
