You listed this bottle as smooth pontiled, then open pontiled...I am confused, what is the difference? It looks to be open pontiled to me.

Aaron the bottle is from the 1815 to 1830 time period. It has the chestnut body and the LTC applied collar instead of a rolled lip which would have made the bottles date of manufacture even earlier. It is a great early American bottle either made in New Jersey or Baltimore. Worth every penny you are asking Aaron. Matt the bottle has a rough pontil mark and also has a tremendous amount of base wear.

Way to go Bill nice bottle you purchased. Here is another one very similar just a little greener in color. Seller describes the bottle as Midwestern, I say again that it is a South Jersey or Baltimore region product.
