Sold one of these in auction a number of years ago.went for $1100.00.Not sure wether this is a whiskey,thought it might be a bitters.

Hard to say what it is , they were a liquor dealer by trade but they also made stuff like jamaica ginger.
Looks like a bitters or something medicinal.

That's an extremely rare Western Bitters, circa 1868-70. They come in amber also.
